Glossary
A dedicated graveled, paved, or concrete parking space sized for one RV at a storage facility.
An RV pad is a dedicated parking space at an RV storage facility, sized for a specific class of motorhome or trailer. Pad surfaces range from gravel (cheapest, drains well) to asphalt (common middle ground) to reinforced concrete (premium, best for heavy Class A coaches). Pad length determines max-RV-length pricing: 30-foot pads fit Class B/C, 40-foot pads fit short Class A, 45-foot pads fit big-rig Class A. Width matters too: standard is 10 feet, big-rig is 12-13 feet. Premium pads include shore power hookup, water spigot, sewer dump connection, and sometimes a small concrete patio for outdoor seating during pickup days.
Basic gravel RV pad runs $70-$200/month; concrete with full hookups runs $200-$500/month.
