A storage rental agreement is the legal contract between a tenant and a storage facility. Standard provisions include: rental period (typically month-to-month with 30-day notice), monthly rent, late fees (typically $25-$75 after 10-day grace period), access hours, key/code policy, insurance requirements (proof of comprehensive coverage typically required), lien rights (state-regulated; permits the facility to auction contents after 30-90 days of nonpayment), prohibited items (firearms, ammunition, fuel storage beyond what's in the vehicle's tank, hazardous materials, perishables), entry/inspection rights, and dispute resolution.
