Open-lot storage with no roof or walls; the vehicle sits fully exposed to weather.
Outdoor storage (often called open-lot or uncovered storage) places the vehicle on a gated outdoor lot with no roof or walls. The vehicle is fully exposed to sun, rain, snow, hail, wind, dust, and temperature extremes. Cheapest option by a wide margin. Acceptable for: short-term storage (under 3 months), seasonally-used trailers, work vehicles, vehicles already weather-rated and covered. Not recommended for: classic cars, RVs with roof seams, boats with gel-coat finishes, anything stored 12+ months.
Outdoor storage typically runs $35-$150/month depending on lot size, security, and local market.
