For RV, Boat & Vehicle Storage Owners

Thinking about selling your storage facility? We have buyers.

StowHelp's parent company, WETYR Corporation, keeps a registry of people and companies who want to buy businesses. Tell us about your facility in confidence. If a registered buyer is a fit, we ask you first. Nothing is shared until you say yes.

Tell us about your facility

How it works

1

Share the basics

Facility type, location, rough size and your timeline. It takes about five minutes, and "just exploring" is a perfectly good answer.

2

We check the registry

WETYR compares your facility with what registered buyers say they want: property type, states, size and budget. Only real matches move forward.

3

You decide

If a buyer fits, we describe them and ask whether you want an introduction. Say yes and we connect you both. Say no and nothing is shared.

There is no cost to ask and no obligation to sell. StowHelp and WETYR are not business brokers: we help buyers find the kind of business they are looking for, and owners decide who they talk to. Price, terms and the sale itself stay between you, the buyer and your own advisors.

What buyers look at in a vehicle storage facility

Vehicle storage is a simple business to run but a detailed one to buy. Before a buyer makes an offer, they usually work through the same questions. Knowing them helps you judge whether now is a good time to talk.

Occupancy and waitlist

How many spaces are rented today, how that changes by season, and whether you keep a waiting list. A steady waitlist is one of the clearest signs of unmet demand.

Rate history

What you charge for each space type and when rates last went up. Buyers compare your rates with nearby facilities, so a current rate sheet saves time.

Space mix

The split between open parking, covered canopy spaces and enclosed units, plus the maximum vehicle length you can take. Covered and enclosed spaces usually rent for more.

Land, zoning and room to grow

Lot size, whether you own or lease the land, zoning that allows vehicle storage, and any unused acreage that could hold more spaces or canopies later.

Access and security

Gate system, cameras, lighting, paving and how tenants get in after hours. Upgrades a buyer would have to make right away come off the value they see.

Location and demand drivers

Distance to lakes, marinas, RV travel corridors and neighborhoods where HOA rules keep RVs and boats out of driveways. These drivers keep demand steady year after year.

Records

A clean rent roll and profit and loss statements that match your tax returns make a facility far easier to buy. Messy records are the most common reason a sale slows down.

Your time

How many hours a week the facility takes and who does the work. A facility that runs with little owner time appeals to more buyers.

Getting ready, even if the sale is years away

None of this is needed to fill in the form below. It is the list most buyers eventually ask for, and owners who keep it current have an easier, faster sale whenever they decide to go ahead.

Questions owners ask

Who will see the details I send?

Your details go to StowHelp and to WETYR Corporation, StowHelp's parent company, which keeps the buyer registry. They are not posted on StowHelp or anywhere else, your renters are not told, and no buyer receives your name or your facility's name until you approve that specific introduction.

Does asking about a sale cost anything or commit me to sell?

No. Sending your facility details is free and creates no obligation. Many owners simply want to know whether there is interest. You can tell us you are only exploring, and you can stop the conversation at any point without giving a reason. Your listing and your renters are not affected either way.

Is StowHelp or WETYR a business broker?

No. WETYR keeps a registry of people and companies who want to acquire businesses and helps buyers find acquisition targets. When your facility fits what a registered buyer is looking for, we ask whether you want an introduction. Pricing, terms and the sale itself are between you, the buyer and your own advisors.

What happens to my StowHelp listing?

Nothing changes. Your listing, reviews, Premium plan and inquiries keep working exactly as before. Asking about buyers is separate from your listing, and it does not affect your placement, your reviews or the inquiries vehicle owners send you on StowHelp in any way.

What information should I have ready?

For a first conversation you only need the basics on this form. Serious buyers will later ask for a current rent roll, three years of profit and loss statements, tax returns, a site plan with the number and type of spaces, permits and zoning, any land lease, and a list of equipment such as gates, cameras and canopies.

My facility is small. Is it worth asking?

Yes. Buyers range from individual investors looking for a first property to operators adding locations, so a small outdoor lot can fit someone's plan as well as a large covered facility. If nobody in the registry fits today, your details stay on file in confidence and are checked again as new buyers join.

I want to buy a storage facility. Where do I start?

Join the WETYR Buyer Registry and describe what you want to buy: facility type, states and budget. When a facility owner who fits your criteria asks about selling and agrees to an introduction, you will hear about it. Joining the registry is free.

Curious what a buyer would think of your facility?

Ask in confidence. You decide whether anyone hears your name.
