  • Launch access: How far is the nearest boat ramp? Some facilities offer direct water access or shuttle service.
  • Security: Cameras, gated access, and lighting are minimum. Ask about theft and damage history.
  • Insurance: Your homeowner's policy likely does NOT cover a boat in storage. Ask about storage facility insurance and consider a separate marine storage policy.
