Glossary
A travel trailer or fifth-wheel with a rear garage designed to carry ATVs, motorcycles, or other powersports vehicles inside the RV itself.
A toy hauler is a travel trailer or fifth-wheel built with an integrated rear garage that hauls powersports vehicles - ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, jet skis, or small cars - inside the RV's living quarters. The garage typically converts into additional bunk space or a patio when at camp. Toy haulers are longer and taller than standard trailers (some reach 45 feet) and require pads with extra length and height clearance. They also carry significantly more fuel for the toys (5-15 gallon onboard fuel station), which storage facilities sometimes flag for fire-code compliance. Common toy-hauler brands include Grand Design Momentum, Heartland Cyclone, Jayco Seismic, Coachmen Adrenaline.
Toy-hauler storage runs 10-20% above standard RV storage of the same length due to extra height + fuel handling.
