Lake of the Ozarks Storage Guide (2026)

Jet ski racks, boat slips, trailer lots, and winter storage strategy across Macks Creek, Eldon, Laurie, Osage Beach, and the surrounding Ozarks towns.

Lake of the Ozarks is the largest man-made lake east of the Mississippi with 1,150 miles of shoreline. That means storage is plentiful if you know where to look, but lakefront prices in Osage Beach and Camdenton can run double what you'd pay 10 miles inland. This guide maps the tradeoffs so you can pick the right town for your boat, jet ski, RV, or trailer.

Storage towns, ranked by price

Here's the cost-to-convenience spectrum, ranked from cheapest (inland) to most expensive (lakefront):

Winter storage: when to start planning

Missouri winters are harder on watercraft than most lake owners expect. Average January lows at the Ozarks run in the low 20s F, with multi-day freezes dropping into single digits. If you leave a jet ski or boat outdoors without proper winterization, you're gambling with cracked manifolds, blown freeze plugs, and hull blistering.

October is booking season. Heated indoor slots at Lake of the Ozarks routinely sell out by mid-September for the following winter. If you're planning to store a jet ski or boat indoors, have your reservation locked by Labor Day.

Three winter storage tiers

  1. Outdoor + winterized ($30-$70/month): Cheapest. Requires professional winterization (antifreeze flush, fuel stabilizer, battery pull). Risk: UV damage + freeze-thaw on trailers.
  2. Covered ($70-$120/month): Roof protection plus the same winterization. Best value for most weekend owners.
  3. Heated indoor ($140-$220/month): No winterization needed. Best for high-value PWCs, wakeboats, and anything with sensitive electronics.

Jet ski storage: rack vs trailer

Most Ozarks facilities offer two jet ski storage formats:

Browse jet ski storage in Macks Creek or jet ski storage in Laurie for the two most popular inland + lakefront options.

RV and trailer storage

Lake of the Ozarks is an RV-heavy market thanks to the state parks (Ha Ha Tonka, Lake of the Ozarks State Park) and weekenders who camp at the lake. Class A and Class C storage is available year-round at Camdenton, Osage Beach, and Eldon. Expect $100-$175/month for covered RV storage and $175-$275/month for indoor.

Utility and boat trailer storage is the cheapest category in the region at $30-$70/month for an outdoor spot. Browse trailer storage in Eldon for the highest-inventory options.
